Glycolic Acid Peel (40%)

Glycolic acid, one of the Alpha Hydroxy acids (AHA’s).  AHA’s are naturally occurring substances that have been used for centuries to improve the appearance of the skin.  Glycolic acid derived from sugar cane, has the greatest ability to penetrate the skin due to its smaller molecular size.  Although it has been used for centuries, it's mechanism of action is only just beginning to be understood.  Glycolic Acid has the ability to act as a superior moisturiser for the skin.  It also dislodges dead skin cells from the outer surface of the skin, leaving the skin fresher and smoother.  These properties enable glycolic acid to be used in reducing the signs of acne and dryness in particular and signs of sun damage and pigmentation.  It is recommended that you should use glycolic acid two weeks prior to having this peel, this peel is best for a first time skin peel and especially beneficial for problem prone skin.

Alpha Beta Peel (50%)
Uses Salicylic acid with glycolic to enduce quicker and deeper exfoliations.  Salicylic acid penetrates through oil very easily therefore this peel is more effective on oily/spot prone skin. The combination of glycolic and salicylic acid in this peel means that this is a much deeper skin peel making it particularly beneficial to those wishing to treat pigmentation and fine lines

To get the best results with both peels we recommend a course of 6.  This can also be alternated weekly with microdermabrasion for best results.
